I have been wanting a 'polaroid' camera for so so long now and since I got a job recently I finally had the guts to purchase one. I am sooo in love with it and I thought that I would do a review on it in case there are people out there who want to buy one but they don't know if they should.

Normally the instax mini 8 is around $99 AUD but I have noticed that a lot of the time Target has them for $89 which is how much I paid for mine. I don't think that the price of the camera is too much, but the individual film is on the pricey side. It's around $20-$25 for a pack of 20 films which works out to about $1 per photo which is quite expensive when you can buy a 8gb SD card for the same price which would hold thousands of photos. But overall I think it is worth it.

//THE DEVICE//

The instax mini 8 comes in 3 pastel colours; pink, yellow, blue and also in white and black. I honestly couldn't choose what colour to get because they are all so pretty and I wish I could buy one of every single colour. I decided to go for the blue which I super happy about because I love the colour a lot. It is a fairly chunky camera but it's small enough to carry around in your handbag or backpack. It's not a very heavy camera to hold. The layout of the camera is fairly simple and there aren't too many buttons to get confused with. There are 2 main buttons; the power on button (located near the lens) and the shutter button (located near the flash). On the top of the lens are 4 different lights which represent the setting you should use based on the lighting you are in. On the left of the camera is the flash and the viewfinder. The battery compartment can be found on the left side of the camera. On the left side of the back of the camera is the space where you put your film and on the bottom right side of that is a little counter of how many photos you have remaining.

//USE AND PHOTOS//

I would say that the instax mini 8 is a very easy camera to use. It doesn't have many settings to play around with and it's easy to understand. I have only taken a few photos with the camera so far, but I really like the way they turn out. I would say that they are a pretty good quality photo and they look really nice. The photos only take about a minute or 2 to finish developing which is super quick. The only problem I have with the photos is that the viewfinder isn't in the same place as the lens so if you are taking a picture of someone else it may turn out different to what it looked like in the viewfinder. But other than that I'm very happy with the photos.

Overall I think that the instax mini 8 is a really nice camera. The camera itself isn't too expensive and it is certainly worth it. The camera is a good thing to have if you are going out with some friends or family and you want to take pictures that you can cherish forever, I like the idea of being able to have a photo developed straight away because it gives you a break from always uploading selfies to facebook, twitter, instagram etc and you just get to appreciate it a little bit more. I also like the idea of being able to keep the photos for a long time which you can't do with digital photos on your phone.

☯Go-to hair and makeup☯

Hello lovely people,

I hope you are all well and safe.

Super big apologies for not posting for a while, I have been super busy with a school production which I will hopefully talk more about in a separate post.

For todays post, I thought I would show you my go-to hair and makeup if I'm going out with friends or family. I don't wear this everyday, only if I feel like dressing up a little bit more. This look is very minimal and using as little makeup as possible. If you'd like a more dressy makeup look, let me know in the comments, twitter or instagram. :)

First I use my Garnier BB Cream in the colour Light/Clair
and I apply that all over my face and neck.
I love using this BB Cream because it moisturises your face and
it also has a nice natural finish to it.

Next I set that with my Mary Kay mineral powder foundation
In Beige 1.

The two of these products create a really nice natural
look and it feels nice and fresh on your face.

Next I try to fill in my eyebrows with the 3rd colour in the
Auatralis intersifeye eyeshadow palette.

I'm still trying to get the hang of filling in my eyebrows so they aren't
amazing at the moment aha.

Then I use Rimmel's Volume flash 'scandaleyes' waterproof mascara
all over my lashes.

After that I use my Essence 'get big lashes' volume boost waterproof
mascara and apply an even layer over my top lashes.

Both of these mascaras make my very little eyelashes fairly long and voluminous.

Then to finish it all off I use the ulta3 lipstick in the colour 'orchid'.

I decided to do 2 french braids in my hair because it's so
easy and super cute.

Here is the final look. I think it's a really nice natural look and it just enhances
your beauty. You could dress it up and wear some eyeshadow or eyeliner but for this look
I just left it natural.

Relay for life 2015

Hello my lovelies,
so I had planned on posting my Melbourne trip vlog for this weeks post, but due to recent events, I think I'll leave it a little longer which I'm very sorry about.

For this weeks post, I thought I'd give you a little update of what I've been up to.

Relay for life

On Saturday the 28th- Sunday the 29th I got the opportunity to participate in Relay for Life. This was honestly such an amazing experience and I'm so glad I was able to participate. Relay for life is an event held by the Cancer Council fundraising money to donate to help prevent cancer. I arrived at the Domain (an athletics center) at around 1:45pm and my mum signed me in. At around 2pm there was a small speech before the survivors lap. After that, everyone else joined in walking around the domain. After 10 laps, my friends and I decided to take a quick drink break. We then continued walking. At one of the little stalls/tent things there was a photo booth with dress ups. Of course we took a photo and there were many giggle involved. We continued walking, talking and breaking for maybe 5 hours or so. We were obviously getting sore but we weren't going to give up. At 6pm, our teacher went and got us pizzas for dinner and we sat on the hill watching people walk around while eating our pizza. We had a longer break this time; talking to people and playing with the teachers baby (who was adorable). We continued doing a few laps before the candle ceremony. This was the most serious part of the night. People could purchase a bag and candle and write a message to a loved one who has died from cancer. There were two songs sung by the band that was playing at the event and there was also a few speeches and a prayer. It's safe to say that it was the most emotional part of the night. After this, the laps continued. As the night got on, we all got a little bit crazier. There was a stall that had headphones that you could rent that played music all over the domain. We had so much fun dancing around to the music being played and watching people having fun and being themselves. By around 3am, people began to feel sleepy and a majority of us stopped walking. We were originally going to sleep on the hill, but that didn't work as it was wet and we would just slip down. There was a wooden grandstand that everyone took the liking to as we fell asleep under the stars. Although, not many people slept. I got around 40 minutes of sleep before I was woken up. When we woke up, it was freezing. Thankfully some lovely people had already begun making breakfast for us; an egg and bacon roll or sausages. My friend and I walked through the cold and warmed our tummies with a yummy egg and bacon roll. We sat on the grandstand, in our sleeping bags while eating our egg and bacon roll as we watched the sunrise. It was certainly a breathtaking sight. After the sun had rose and the weather begun to get warmer, I went and got changed into some warmer clothes and we began to do laps again. By the end of the 20 hours, we had done 80 laps which was 32km. This was definitely an amazing experience and I'll remember for the rest of my life. I certainly recommend it to anyone who is interested in it because it's for such a great cause.
