For one of my Christmas presents this year, I was given a GoPro Hero 3 and I decided that for anyone who was thinking about purchasing one, I would do a review and thoughts on the GoPro Hero 3.

THE DEVICE
The device its self is quite small. Without the protective housing on it, it looks like a toy camera. It has three buttons; the mode button and power button (To change mode from video, camera etc and to turn the camera on and off), the wifi button (This button will connect you from you phone to the camera so you can view videos off your GoPro onto you're phone. This doesn't actually give you wifi that works, it's just the way the GoPro connects with other devices) and the record button (which is obviously used to start recording). Only having a few buttons makes the camera easier to use.
On the right side of the camera is the charging plug, the HDMI plug and the micro SD card.

 WATERPROOF HOUSING
The waterproof housing has the same shape as the actual camera. It has silver buttons in the same spots as the buttons on the camera so that you don't have to take the camera out to start recording. I haven't yet had a problem with water getting into the housing which is great. The housing makes the camera look a lot bigger and not make the camera look like a toy anymore.






PRICE
The prices vary quite a lot. They can reach up to $600+. I think that for the starter GoPro, it's a really good price to try it out and see how much you use it and if you like it, save up and buy the Hero 4.

THE VIDEO QUALITY
So far, I think that the camera films a good quality video. The quality underwater is absolutely amazing. It gives a really clear picture and I'm really impressed so far with it. I haven't yet filmed yet without the housing on the camera so I'm wondering if it'll give a clearer picture or not. Anyways, instead of talking about the video quality, I'll just show you.



Overall I think the GoPro is a camera worth buying. It has good quality, it's waterproof and very easy to handle. I would recommend the GoPro if you are interested in buying a good camera that's waterproof. It also has a wide range of accessories that you can get to go with it.
